Volunteer Assistant Coach

Mark Mann is in his third year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Golden Hurricane volleyball team. He has 15 years of club volleyball coaching experience (1995-present) and has coached high school and collegiate volleyball since 1999.

His many coaching successes include taking Redlands Community College to the Junior College National Tournament in 1999 and St. Gregory's University to the NAIA Regional Finals in 2001. He also helped Nicholls State University reach the Southland Conference Tournament in 2002. Most recently, he coached at E.D. White Catholic High School, which was was a two-time Louisiana Class-AAA State Tournament Finalist (2003 & 2004).

In 2002, Mann founded summit.edu. A non profit organization that manages a youth sports development grant from the Catholic Network of Volunteer Service. The grant is awarded for the purpose of promoting youth sports opportunities for girls in the USA and overseas. The summit institute is an officially recognized campus ministry partner at The University of Tulsa.

In 1999, Mann earned an Ed.D. From OSU, and currently has a Ph.D. Fellowship in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas. Mann is an adjunct professor of Kinesiology at Bacone College, and TCC. He has one daughter, Irene, who is 14.
