Tulsa Head Coach Steven McRoberts

Opening statement
"I am really proud of this team. What a great effort tonight, all the way around. We had to fight through a time where we were missing quite a few serves. I felt like, though, on an emotional level, with the match the way it was, playing Oklahoma, a team that knocked us out last year in the second round, seeded ahead of us out here. I don't think there were a lot of people that thought that we were going to win this match coming off a loss last week to SMU. I was really proud of the focus of the team this week. We had a really good week of practice. We've really enjoyed our time here in California. I think the girls just played loose. It was a really good volleyball match tonight."

On the performances of Tyler Henderson and Kellie Culbertson
"It's basically the same thing I've been saying all year. These are two of the players that have been carrying us a lot. We have a really balanced team. Tyler really brought it tonight. She had 30 kills, which is really close to a high this year for her. She did it in four sets. Oklahoma would be calling out that she's getting the ball, and there was nothing that they could do. She was just putting the ball away.

"Kellie, from a serve-receive, all the way through serving, back-row attacking, digging, front row - she just did everything for us tonight. I'm just really happy for her that she could come back to California and play very well in front of family and friends. She's been on a tear this last month, and that's a big reason why we're here."

On preparing for the next opponent on Saturday
"I told the team in the locker room, that I'm not the kind of coach that's going to say we win and be somber and wait for the next day. We're going to go celebrate. We're excited that we won. Yes, we need to come back tomorrow and be focused. This team is going to do that. Our main focus all week long was to just get it to Saturday. Now we can refocus and know that we will form our Saturday schedule, and be ready tomorrow. I'm confident. These players want to win, and have won all season, and we're going to play hard tomorrow night. I do know that."

Junior Outside Hitter Tyler Henderson

On being called on to perform at a high level, and what she was feeling on the court
"I was just really calm and relaxed out there. I just know that I'm going to go up and put the ball away. I know that if I get blocked, it's not going to affect me emotionally, I'm going to go out there and fight as hard as I can."

Sophomore Outside Hitter Kellie Culbertson

On playing in front of her hometown fans
"It felt great. Being back here is amazing. It doesn't feel like home, because I don't actually get to go home, but being in the atmosphere here is awesome, and playing really well on top of that, just felt really good."
