Volleyball Preseason Practice Update
Aug. 16, 2012
TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball squad has one full week of practice under their belts as the Nike Invitational in Norman, Okla., is only eight days away. Meanwhile, the Hurricane will hit the Donald W. Reynolds Center court tonight for the Blue-Gold Scrimmage at 7 p.m. for a free and open event for the public. Tulsa, coming off of a 28-7 record a year ago, returns five starters and the libero. The Golden Hurricane have captured the past two Conference USA regular season titles, and look to capture not only a third straight regular season crown, but the conference tournament title at the Reynolds Center November 16-18.
The next time TU will play in front of a home crowd will be on September 13-15 for the Golden Hurricane Classic. Three NCAA Tournament squads from a year ago in Kansas State, Dayton and Minnesota, will descend on Tulsa for the three-day affair. All home regular season TU matches, including the Golden Hurricane Classic, are free to the public. For all Tulsa volleyball news and information, visit www.TulsaHurricane.com.
