Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa�s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.

TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Today's "Hurricane Spotlight" features Tulsa senior outside hitter Tyler Henderson. This special feature of "Hurricane Spotlight" will run throughout the academic year.

Henderson, a two-time second-team All-American, is the Tulsa career leader in kills with 2,088. This season, Henderson is leading in the NCAA in kills per set with 5.50, while she ranks second in points per set with 6.00.

The volleyball squad opens its home slate on Thursday night against Kansas State in a 7 p.m. matchup at the Reynolds Center in the opening game of the Golden Hurricane Classic. The classic features three top-20 teams in Kansas State, Dayton and Minnesota. Tulsa will face Dayton in 7 p.m. contest on Friday and will wrap up the tournament on Saturday with a 2 p.m. matchup with Minnesota. All regular season games at the Reynolds Center are free admission.
