IRVING, Texas - Junior setter Bailey Clampitt was named the Conference USA Setter Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

"Really proud of Bailey," TU head coach Steven McRoberts said. "She's had a good year already. She got thrown into a really tough situation last weekend. A lot of adversity with Genesis (Viera) going down and for the second year in a row when that situation hits the team, Bailey's stepped in and has really led us to some really good wins. She's a great setter and ran the offense really well and kept our team really steady throughout Saturday when we needed her to step up for us and she did that."

Junior setter Bailey Clampitt was named to the Golden Hurricane Classic All-Tournament Team over the weekend. The Plano, Texas native recorded 117 assists, 9.75 assists per set, 30 digs, 2.50 digs per set and a double-double with 45 assists and 14 digs against Northern Colorado. Clampitt recorded a season-high 48 assists against Texas State.

During the week, Clampitt has recorded 145 assists, 9.06 assists per set, 40 digs, 2.50 digs per set and two double-doubles. Clampitt added a double-double against Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan., with 28 assists and 10 digs.

Clampitt leads TU with 335 assists, 7.61 assists per set.

All home volleyball matches are free admission. There will be an autograph session with the volleyball players after Tuesday's match against the Sooners.

The Golden Hurricane travels to Norman, Okla., this weekend to play in the Nike Invitational. TU faces LIU Brooklyn at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricane faces two opponents on Saturday with Miami, Fla., at 10 a.m. followed by Nebraska-Omaha at 4:30 p.m.
