TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball plays against in-state rival Oklahoma on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Tulsa is 1-1 under third-year head coach Steven McRoberts. TU defeated the Sooners 3-1 in the NCAA Tournament in 2011, but lost a five-setter to OU last season at the Nike Invitational in Norman, Okla.

Junior setter Bailey Clampitt was named Conference USA Setter of the Week on Monday. Clampitt was named to the Golden Hurricane Classic All-Tournament Team over the weekend. The Plano, Texas native recorded 117 assists, 9.75 assists per set, 30 digs, 2.50 digs per set and a double-double with 45 assists and 14 digs against Northern Colorado. Clampitt recorded a season-high 48 assists against Texas State.

 

 

During the week, Clampitt has recorded 145 assists, 9.06 assists per set, 40 digs, 2.50 digs per set and two double-doubles.

Clampitt leads TU with 335 assists, 7.61 assists per set.

Senior Kellie Culbertson leads Tulsa with 129 kills, 2.93 kills per set, 26 service aces, 0.59 service aces per set and 174 digs, 3.95 digs per set.

The outside hitter was named on the Golden Hurricane Classic All-Tournament Team last weekend. The Long Beach, Calif., native recorded 43 kills, 3.58 kills per set, 10 service aces, 0.83 service aces per set and 55 digs, 4.58 digs per set over the three matches. Culbertson recorded three double-doubles and had a career-high 27 digs against Northern Colorado.

Oklahoma is led by Sallie McLaurin with 3.97 kills per set, Julia Doyle with 8.78 assists per set and Kelia Rodriguez with 3.42 digs per set. The Sooners are receiving votes in the top-25 and is the third team listed outside of the top-25.

All home volleyball matches are free admission. There will be an autograph session with the volleyball players after Tuesday's match against the Sooners.

The Golden Hurricane travels to Norman, Okla., this weekend to play in the Nike Invitational. TU faces LIU Brooklyn at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricane faces two opponents on Saturday with Miami, Fla., at 10 a.m. followed by Nebraska-Omaha at 4:30 p.m.
