TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team travels to Charlotte to face the 49ers on Friday at 6 p.m. and then returns home on Sunday against East Carolina at noon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Senior outside hitter Kellie Culbertson was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday as she averaged 3.83 kills per set, 0.67 service aces per set, 4.00 digs per set, 0.67 blocks per set, 4.92 points per set and had a .467 hitting percentage.

Culbertson recorded two double-doubles in Florida with 12 kills and 11 digs against Florida Atlantic on Friday night and 11 kills and 13 digs against FIU on Sunday afternoon.

The Long Beach, Calif., native recorded 23 kills over the weekend giving her 1,002 career kills to become the seventh player in school history to reach the 1,000-kill milestone.

Culbertson leads TU with 3.46 kills per set, which ranks eighth in the C-USA, and with 0.56 service aces per set, which leads the C-USA and ranks seventh in the NCAA. Freshman libero Brooke Berryhill leads TU with 4.49 digs per set, which ranks sixth in C-USA and junior setter Bailey Clampitt with 7.56 assists per set.

The Golden Hurricane (16-4, 5-0 C-USA) leads the NCAA with 19.09 digs per set and has three players with at least 3.90 digs per set - Berryhill (4.49), Culbertson (4.32) and junior outside hitter Valerie El Houssine (3.91).

Charlotte (10-11, 0-6 C-USA) is led by Amanda Videmsek with 3.20 kills per set, Britney Leigh Held with 10.30 assists per set and Michelle Hovey with 4.84 digs per set.

Charlotte and Tulsa will be meeting for the first time.

East Carolina (10-12, 1-4 C-USA) is led by Nicole Willis with 3.92 kills per set, Zarah Cecich with 8.40 assists per set and Shelby Beasley with 3.79 digs per set.

TU holds a 9-1 advantage over the Pirates and the Golden Hurricane has won the last nine meetings over ECU.

The Hurricane plays Louisiana Tech on Friday at 7 p.m. and will be the Dig Pink match. TU finishes the weekend with a match against Southern Miss on Sunday at 1 p.m.
