TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball looks to extend its winning streak to 13 matches and continue its perfect 9-0 Conference USA record against Middle Tennessee State at Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Hurricane (20-4, 9-0 C-USA) won its 20th match of the season on Sunday afternoon in a 3-1 win over Southern Miss, extending its streak of 20-plus win seasons to nine consecutive seasons and has 14 seasons overall with 20-plus wins in a season.

Freshman libero Brooke Berryhillwas named C-USA Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday as she averaged 5.43 digs per set, had no reception errors in 31 attempts and recorded a pair of 19 digs against Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss.

This is Berryhill's third defensive player of the week award this season as she was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23 and Oct. 7 and TU's seventh player of the week this season.

The Waco, Texas native leads TU with 4.56 digs per set, which ranks sixth in the C-USA and ranks second in the C-USA with 5.33 digs per set in league matches. Berryhill has recorded 19-plus digs in three of her last four matches and has recorded 19-plus digs in 10 matches this season.

As a team, the Hurricane leads the C-USA and the NCAA with 18.92 digs per set this season and have three players with at least 3.60 digs per set - Berryhill with 4.56 digs per set, senior outside hitter Kellie Culbertson with 4.32 digs per set and junior outside hitter Valerie El Houssinewith 3.68 digs per set.

Culbertson leads TU with 3.52 kills per set and 0.59 service aces per set, which leads C-USA and ranks fourth in the NCAA.

The Long Beach, Calif., native has recorded 161 career service aces and needs two service aces to set the school record. Culbertson has also recorded 55 service aces this season and needs six service aces to set the single season school record.

The Golden Hurricane leads the series against Middle Tennessee State (14-8, 5-2 C-USA) 1-0 as TU defeated MTSU 3-2 in 2011 at the Middle Tennessee Invitational.

The Blue Raiders are led by Chelsea Ross with 3.37 kills per set, Shelby Anderton with 6.30 assists per set and Kendall Howard with 4.09 digs per set.

The Golden Hurricane returns home for its final two home matches of the season. TU faces Tulane on Friday at 7 p.m. and Marshall on Sunday at noon.
