TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa volleyball team, after securing a berth in the 2012 NCAA Tournament by winning the Conference USA Tournament, will play two final regular season matches on Friday, November 25, in preparation for the Big Dance. TU will face Northwestern State at 10:30 a.m. before hosting North Dakota State in a 7 p.m. affair. At 2:30 p.m., Northwestern State and NDSU will face each other.

Tulsa (25-9, 14-2 C-USA) will learn its first round match-up in the NCAA Tournament during the 2012 NCAA Tournament Selection Show, which will air on Sunday, November 25, at 3 p.m. on ESPNU.

Volleyball Beats North Dakota State, 3-0
Three players had double-digit kills and the Tulsa volleyball team hit .380 as a team on its way to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-18) win over North Dakota State in the Park Inn Hurricane Invitational Friday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Volleyball Beats Northwestern State, 3-0
Freshman Tyler Henderson slammed 10 kills and freshman libero Jessica Adams dug out 18 attacks to lead The University of Tulsa volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Northwestern State in the ORU Classic Friday afternoon at the ORU Aerobic Center.


Tulsa ranks 16th in the nation in kills per set (14.48) 16th in assists per frame (13.48) and 14th in digs per stanza (17.97). TU is hitting .213 on the season while foes hold an attack percentage of .170.

Senior outside hitter Tyler Henderson leads the Tulsa attack, as she ranks first in the nation in kills per set (5.21) and points per set (5.76). She became only the second person in league history to be a first-team all-conference selection four straight years and only the second person to be named Player of the Year three times, and was honored as the C-USA Tournament MVP last weekend. Henderson broke a tournament record averaging 7.94 points per frame while leading Tulsa to its second tournament title in school history.

Senior libero Jessica Adams leads the conference in digs per set with a 5.20 clip, which ranks 42nd in the nation. Adams is seven digs away from taking over second-place in Conference USA history in career digs.

Kellie Culbertson ranks 35th in the nation in aces per set with 0.39 per frame, and ranks second in the league in the category. She also was named to the second-team all-conference team for a second-straight season.

Northwestern State holds a record of 20-11 this season. The Lady Demons are hitting .175 on the season while opponents hold an attack percentage of .164.

Stacey DiFrancesco leads the team with 3.38 kills per set average and is second on the squad in digs per set with a 2.76 average. Keelie Arneson paces the Lady Demons averaging 5.00 digs per stanza.

North Dakota State is 12-17 after a 3-0 setback to Pepperdine on Tuesday night. The Bison are hitting .216, while holding opponents to a .210 clip.

Brynn Joki leads the NDSU offense averaging 3.46 kills per set. Megan Lambertson is second on the team with a 3.04 kills per set clip, while she leads the Bison with 1.02 blocks per frame. Andrea Henning paces the team in digs per set with a 4.90 average.
