Vanessa is a senior from Houston, Texas. A four-year returning starter, she has set the school record for service aces in a career as well as career assists.

Vanessa is one of five seniors on the TU volleyball squad. All five seniors will be participating in the diaries at different times this season.

Nov2: Hello there! I'm Vanessa and I'm the setter here for the University of Tulsa. I'm originally from Puerto Rico, but grew up in Houston. What can I say this this has been a heartfelt season so far. I hope alot of you guys have been able to come out. It really pumps our team up when people come out(hint..hint).

This year has been full of so close and I mean really coming down to one or two crucial plays to win the game. Our team has been working hard, and honestly it finally paid off this weekend. This past weekend was really big for us. We beat La Tech, but the true money game was SMU. They have definately become our biggest rival throughout my four years here at Tulsa. This rivalry has become personal, and it just felt so good to finally prove that we are truly the more talented team. (I'm so glad you could be there Natalia).

What else..well today is Sam's (Rutherford) 21st birthday, love u girl. It's scary that it's coming down to only a couple more games for us seniors...Anyway I hope a big crowd comes out this weekend for the game against UTEP!
