TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa senior duo of Tyler Henderson and Jessica Adams were selected to the All-Midwest Region Team, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

For Henderson, this marks the fourth time she has been selected for the team, while Adams is making her third appearance on the squad.

"I'm very proud of these ladies," commented Head Coach Steven McRoberts. "The awards just keep piling up for these two and both are deserving of this recognition. Tyler will finish the year as the NCAA leader in kills and points and Jessica will finish second in Conference USA history in career digs."

Henderson, a native of Oklahoma City, leads the nation this year in points per set with a 5.79 mark and kills with a 5.22 kills per set average. She registered double-digit kills in 33 of her 35 matches, and 20 or more kills in 14 matches. A three-time Conference USA Player of the Year, she paced a Tulsa attack this year that was 16th in the nation in kills per set with 14.42 kills per frame avearge. Henderson, with 2,525 career kills, graduates Tulsa as the NCAA all-time leader in kills during the 25-point rally-scoring era.

Adams, also a native of Oklahoma City, ranks 42nd in the nation in digs per set with a 5.19 average. She tallied double-digit digs in 34 of the 36 matches this year, including tying a career high of 31 against SMU on Sept. 19. Adams became the first Tulsa player to register four straight seasons with 500 or more digs and set a school record this year with 685 digs. She will leave Tulsa with 2,437 digs, which is not only the most in school history, but also the second most in Conference USA history.
