TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa hung on for a 78-76 victory over Temple to close the regular season on Senior Day in the Reynolds Center. The teams traded the lead 11 times and the game was tied 12 times, while Tulsa never led by more than five points all afternoon. With the win the Golden Hurricane finished the regular season with 25 wins and will be the No. 3 seed in the American Conference Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

The game commenced with Temple taking an early lead as Jamai Felt sank two free throws after just 18 seconds. Tulsa's Green quickly responded with a layup, leveling the score at 2-2. The first half saw both teams exchanging leads, highlighted by Jordan Mason's three-pointer at the 17:36 mark that put Temple ahead 7-4. Tulsa's Behrend was active in the paint, scoring multiple layups to keep the game close. As the half progressed, Temple's Derrian Ford made a crucial 3-pointer with 8:23 left, extending Temple's lead to 21-17. Green tied the game at 30 with a 3-pointer at 1:33, but Aiden Tobiason's late free throws secured a 34-32 lead for the Owls at the end of the first half.

Tulsa edged out Temple in a closely contested second half, securing a 78-76 victory. The home team relied on key free throws from Romad Dean and Green in the final moments, with Dean's pair at the 15-second mark pushing Tulsa ahead by three. Tobiason's late 3-pointer brought Temple within one, but the Golden Hurricane maintained its lead. Ade Popoola's 3-pointer with 1:23 left was pivotal in extending Tulsa's narrow advantage.

Tulsa will play Friday in the American Conference Quarterfinals.
