Concert and Tailgate Experience Set for Season Opener

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa has announced that Collinsville native Trett Charles will perform at the TU Tailgate before Saturday's football season opener between Tulsa and Oklahoma State.
The tailgating will open at 10:30 a.m. with DJ Chuck G on the Stage until 12:30 when the team walk begins on 11th Street. Following the team Walk Trett Charles will take the stage on Chapman Commons Presented by Bill Knight Ford, bringing energy and excitement to Golden Hurricane fans ahead of the 2:45 p.m. kickoff.
After watching his uncles perform from the side of the stage, Charles fell in love with the atmosphere of singing and playing music for an audience. Now, the Collinsville native is making a name for himself as a performer.

Located on Chapman Commons, the TU Tailgate features live music, inflatables and a beer garden. Fans can also reserve a space on Chapman Commons and bring their own tailgating supplies. Those interested in reserving a tailgate space can click here.
The Golden Hurricane Champions Fund and Alumni Association tailgate tents will open approximately three hours before kickoff.
Tailgating areas will open four hours before kickoff throughout the 2026 season and close 30 minutes before kickoff, allowing fans ample time to enter H.A. Chapman Stadium.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the music and experience the game-day atmosphere before the Golden Hurricane kicks off the season against Oklahoma State at 2:45 p.m.
