DAY 3 PRACTICE PHOTO GALLERY I MIAMI BEACH BOWL BLAST PHOTO GALLERY
Two days before they stand on opposite sides of the line of scrimmage, the players from Central Michigan and Tulsa were treated to a lively beach party on South Beach as part of the festivities for the 2016 Miami Beach Bowl.
The Beach Bowl Bash & BBQ provided the student-athletes, coaches and fans of the teams with an ideal South Beach experience. With temperatures in the low 80s and a light, refreshing breeze making for a comfortable day, the players were able to enjoy a number of beach games - from soccer, to volleyball, to corn hole - while local artist DJ Skinny entertained the crowd with an eclectic mix of sounds from the national and Miami scenes.
It wasn't all play for the teams Saturday. Both teams held their second day of practice to prepare for Monday's game.
Selected student-athletes, cheerleaders and the mascot from each team will visit patients and distribute gifts Sunday morning at Baptist Children's Hospital, while band members and cheerleaders enjoy friendly competition in a beach cleanup and dune restoration project Sunday on South Beach.
Central Michigan and Tulsa will battle for the Miami Beach Bowl title Monday, Dec. 19, at 2:30 p.m. ET, at Marlins Park. The game will be televised live on ESPN and available on the WatchESPN app.
