Loyal Always True
Tulsa Athletics announced the Loyal Always True Campaign on July 13, 2020. Derived from the words of our own alma mater we are using this campaign to get back to our roots in support of the people, the university and the city we love. Loyal Always True will not only be a saying, but also a motto, a pledge and loyalty to strengthening our brand.
Our campaign for Loyal Always True may have started this year, but the framework and the ideas started long before. Through this campaign we hope to share with you all our history, our commitment and our desire to move forward in collaboration with Our University, Our City and Our Fans.
The “Loyal Always True” campaign’s mission is to strengthen the bonds between athletics and Tulsa as a city, university and fan base. The campaign will consist of three stages: Loyal Always True to Our University, Loyal Always True to Our City and Loyal Always True to Our Fans. Each of these acts as individual objectives for the “Loyal Always True” campaign, but all three support the goal of encouraging Tulsa pride in our fan base.
LOYAL ALWAYS TRUE TO OUR UNIVERSITY
As we went over ideas for our newest campaign we realized the fact that our University and Athletics Department have been synonymous since day 1. The University of Tulsa was chartered in 1894 as Henry Kendall College and Tulsa Football began one year later. It was reorganized as the University of Tulsa in 1920 and we saw our first and only football stadium ten years later. The history and support of Tulsa Athletics dates to the early days of our University and we are Loyal Always True to Our University, TU.

To be honest, as we started a new campaign we weren’t ready to leave our most recent campaign, FOR OUR CITY. That is why we have incorporated the two together. Giving back to the great city of Tulsa will always be our number one priority as this city has already given us so much. Everything that we stated in this video below is what we live by as we will always be Loyal Always True to Our City, Tulsa.

The livelihood of Tulsa Athletics has always been our students, our alumni, our donors, our Tulsans, and all our supporters few and far between. We play for you all and get more and more motivated the louder you get. A campaign is nothing without the people backing it up. You all are the reason we do it all and that is why we are Loyal Always True to Our Fans.
