Women’s Cross Country Wins Cowboy Jamboree, Men Place Second

STILLWATER, Okla. – Senior Clara Langley won the Cowboy Jamboree, running the 5K in 17:59.2, to lead the Tulsa women's cross country team to a first-place finish at the meet Saturday morning at the OSU Cross Country Course. The 28th-ranked TU men placed second, led by senior Luke Traynor's fourth-place finish in the 8K race.
 
The Golden Hurricane women's team placed all five scorers among the top eight scoring finishers, tallying 20 points for the team title, ahead of No. 8 Oklahoma State, which finished second with 53 points. All five scorers on the men's team placed in the top-15, as the Hurricane totaled 44 points to finish in second behind No. 9 Oklahoma State, which totaled 24 points.
 
Senior Stacie Taylor was Tulsa's second finisher in third overall, with a time of 18:10.3. Senior Olivia Lopez placed fourth with a time of 18:31.2, followed by junior Nicole Lee in fifth at 18:33.2, and freshman Adrena Mazzei in eighth with a time of 18:39.6.
 
Traynor paced the men's squad with a fourth-place time of 25:25.3. Senior Henry Pearce followed in seventh place with a time of 25:53.2, and sophomore Isaac Dobos placed eighth in 26:13.4. Junior Dallas Elmore finished 10th with a time of 26:24.9, and junior Adam Roderique rounded out the scorers with a time of 26:44.3 to place 15th.
 
Sophomore Alyssa Bolliger and freshman Reagan Hausmann closed out Tulsa's top-seven competitors on the women's side, with respective finishes of 19th (19:15.2) and 23rd (19:28.4). Sophomore Austin Del Rosso finished 18th with a time of 26:52.6, and sophomore Jay Ort placed 25th in 27:06.4 to round of the top seven runners.
 
The Golden Hurricane returns to action Oct. 14 at the Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wisc.
